We believe that every student is unique and deserves personalized attention. Our experienced counselors work one-on-one with students to help them navigate the college application process.
College Counseling for High School Students
What we Do
- Review of academic record to date, preparation of graduation plan optimizing college admission options including Dual Enrollment opportunities.
- College planning website (individualized to-do list, guidance information files, easy communication, and college information all in one place).
- A variety of assessment for career/interest/major.
- ACT/SAT diagnostic practice exams with feedback on areas to study.
- Recommendations and information collection for extracurricular involvement, community service, and the compilation of a meaningful activities list.
- Build a student resume.
- Overview of college admissions process by evaluating student’s profile relative to typical admission profiles for colleges of interest.
- College research/comparisons for admission trends, costs, majors. Development of an individualized college list considering academic and location preferences as well as financial parameters
- Createa standardized testing timeline.
- College application essay(s) topic brainstorming, development of ideas, and editing.
- Completion and submission of competitive college applications, including tasks required during and after applications are submitted.
- Support in the decision-making process when choosing your college including review of bottom-line cost for each college, if requested.
- Scholarship research and database for 12th graders. Support with applications, deadlines, and submissions.
